If you don't have the original motor Bob has a valid point. You should be able to weld something up with some heavy allthread

Woodfast motor mount
G'day Matt, attached are a couple of pics of the motor mount on my 18" woodfast. By the look of your pics, I think you are missing a couple of clamping blocks. Cheers Greg

Same tension system on my 10" Woodfast jointer too, let me know if you need measurements as I currently have those parts in a zip lock bag.

Ok back to this one,and I need a little help.
And my disclaimer, this is my first bandsaw and I've used one in the past for 5 min total running time newbbbbby.
First question of a few,new tires are on and
as others have posted tires were a little bit of struggle to get in place, there on tight but I can still move them a little bit is this a concern or is this normal.
When I mean move them, I mean with effort, not a loose fit at all.ie I can just push them across the face of the wheel.
Second question I can't for the life of me get the blade to stay on either wheel.
I've played with height tension up and down
Tried moving the vertical adjustment screw for the top wheel in and out tilting the top wheel in or out.
Checked both wheels with a straight edge and they seem to be in line with each other.
So when I turn the wheels by hand they run off the wheels.
Note point the wheels have been removed from there respective shafts and re fitted??
In what I think is the right place going by the flat spots the shaft and general marks.
Also I've been doing this, with out the table in place no big problem there.
But also with out the saw guides top or bottom in place.
Dumb question but,do they need to be in place to track the blade.
I would have assumed they were fitted and got running once the blade is tracking(running on the wheels correctly.
Sorry if theses seem obvious to you bandsaw guys.
Cheers Matt

Update.
Watched some U tube clips and had a nap.
Wheels are co planer(spelling [emoji41])
I think my new tires are flat ie lacking a crown.
Is this normal for new urethane tires.
I've now got it sort of running ok with the guides.
But I think the new tires maybe a problem
Like said they look completely flat no crown at all.
Pulled one off to check also??
Cheers Matt
Editor still on strike sorry [emoji853]

Bandsaws are not easy - they are not plug in turn on.
Have you watched this:
If found it extremely helpful.
The guides should not be needed to stop the blade from coming off.
Have you also seen Mastering Your Bandsaw with Mark Duginske? If not PM me.

That video is indeed really useful.
The 27HP bandsaw mill I operate from time to time has no guides.
The tyres are hard fan belts that sit loosely on the wheels and the fan belts are only about 1/3rd of the width of the 2" wide band.
The saw runs under a super high tension/pressure set with a hydraulic ram.
Blade will come off if not handled correctly - its pretty spectacular when it comes off, sparks and the sound of tearing metal as 5.3m of band wraps itself around the drive wheel.
Of course it immediately toasts a $200 blade and then I had a choice of dismantling the mill or cut it into priced with an angle grinder to get the band off - I went for the latter.
I know why it came off when I did it but not sure when why when the other operator did it.
