New Aspiring Horologist
Well I did t hit centre on a pinion that may as well have been drawn with a crayon and cut with a tooth brush.
For the pinion I cut it with plenty of waste and tried to file it to shape but that doesn’t appear to be a good use of the scroll saw.
With such a small piece too I took some of the scrap away too soon and found it very difficult to handle.
I expect the blade I put on - an Olsen R5RG to start this wheel and pinion was getting dull so once again a combination of factors led to a very sub optimal result.
I really have to learn how to hit centre on my press.
But it is the first step on this long road.
