Clock fitups
I bashed these up the other day. Some unknown hardwood from a pallet and a strip of silkyoak. Finished with a rubbing wax.
They sit on the desk at about a 14 degree angle.
Criticism welcome.

Positive as well?
I like them. They look a little star trekkie. Maybe a larger face would have been better but nice and simple.
What finish?

Thanks for the comment. These are the first two, I will do more. The design was plagerized from the internet, but I have a few refinements that will allow a larger face to be fitted. If the fitup is too big, it gets too heavey and they fall over, being only 20mm thick. I'm currently working up a design that will allow an unobtrusive foot to be incorporated in the triangle. They are finished in fine buffing oil from bunnings. It give the timber a nice silky sheen and is a peach to apply.

HI Robert.
I think that they look great. Good to see such a good use of scraps.
Cheers
