Need Some Info
G'day All,
This may be a strange request BUT does any one know anything about transfers on glass.
I am after some transfers to put on glass panels for the front of a pendulum. They need to go on the inside of the glass so I think they would have to be reverse ???
Some one suggested scrapbooking supplies ??? I asked 1 of my sisters ( I have 7) who is an artist about painted glass but I am not that rich, just as well she's family.
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
Catchya

Hi Ravlord,
Have a look at the transfer printing material for computer printers avail
at stationery stores. It is used to make transparent stick on labels for windows. From memory I think I used this once to produce some transfers and I reversed the letters in the computer program so that it would be the right way round when showing thru the glass.

Thanks for the Idea Pomere,
I will check them out but What I am after is ornate gold scroll work, Small scenes and (dare I say it) Flowers
My printer is not good enough to produce the quality that I need and the SWBMO has informed me that I get no more gear until she gets her long case.

Hi Ravlord,
Check out this site
http://www.beldecal.com/glass.cfm
I think they are in the states, but might be able to do what you want.
Other than that, there is such a thing as an ALPS Printer. It can take a whole range of different coloured ink cartridges, including White, Gold and Silver. I do not have one myself, but in the "Model Train" fraternity, they are used to print custom decals for trains. Perhaps a model shop might be able to point you in the right direction.

Strangely enough, we found something that may help you in that well known shop that sells stuff Cheap as C***s.
Right on Christmas time SWMBO and I found some cheap glass canisters therein, and over in the arts department, we found glass painting kits for $6.00. With little felt tips on them, they would be a bit clumsy for intricate lines, but a tooth pick used to scrape some of the paint and then daub, should do it. The ones we did had a butterfly and then we put the needed word alongside. We did it with "Word" on the computer, printed it out, then stuck it to the inside of the jar, and traced on the outside. You would be able to do it on the inside of yur project. Anyhow, this lot turned out looking like old timey leadlight windows.Buzza.
