Skeleton Mantle Clock
This is the 791 Hermle movement. I put it on a 18cm Blackwood base with an insert Huon Pine annulus, which was turned into a bead. Finished with 5 coats of U-Beaut White Shellac. It is the first time I have used this finish, and wow, I was impressed! Absolutely no darkening of the Huon Pine. I went over the final coat with another U-Beaut product, EEE cream, which gave a beautiful lustre.
Cheers

Hi Swifty and wow, that is amazing, I would love to be able to do something like that. Did you make all those moveable mechanism, and if so, out of what.
I bought a book on making clocks, just looking here now. "making wooden gear clocks". I am not set up at all yet, possibly need to buy a scroll saw. I tend to get too busy making boxes lately. But one of these days.
