At least the BOM will be a lot shorter than for the GIS (I would expect).

Happy building and job hunting (in case the paypal donation button suggested by MIK doesn't work).

    Best regards, Joost

    My neighbor or my boat?

My boat is somewhat of a looker (she definitely ain't perfect), my neighbor is your typical New England dude with wife and kids....

...It's the thought of giving away my AdventureMobile-Goat-Boat that slays me! AUUUGGHHH!!!

When shooting the breeze with the biting midge last year we had the thought of getting prototypes built by doing an elaborate building step by step website as it is built and either charging or asking for donations. Something like the original OZ PDR building thread would probably be worth it for the number of tips and ideas that will help with almost any boat.

In the end it would be a huge amount of work (as the first OZ racers were - almost six months of solid effort) but gee we learned a lot!

    Best wishes
    Michael

    Hello Christophe,

Just wondering whether the plans are being translated into an actual Beth.

Or has the job hunting gone (too) well and has the available building time been diminished to zero...

    Best wishes,

    Joost

    Joost,

No, they are not. I wish, but no. Still difficult to find full time well-paying employment, I'm making ends meet by working two part time jobs. The resources I allocate to boats went to the Goat-- I even had to scrub the mizzen mast addition-- though all I really need is some kind of windvance to keep her pointed in the wind when I need to reef. Running a little late on the Goat even since the weather has been so lousy in the Northeast of the US, two solid weeks of rain and low temps really slowed up painting and varnishing.

    Thanks for the thought though!

Indeed a very nice piece of writing!

And I am sure that Christophe will build Beth in due time to have some fine adventures with her.

    Best wishes,

    Joost
