Hi Robert
The process is exactly like you did to make your spars round, in stages. Chamfer the corner to 45 degrees with a rasp. Then chamfer that shape top and bottom another 45 degrees and then finish the rounding with coarse 40 sandpaper. It's always worked for me
Well done with those spars, they look perfect!

I've rounded ends of spars (whithout masts step's ends). They looks OK - I think.
My priority is to finish my project by month (up to May 15th) than...
with my friends we are planning a group trip (raid) on Delta of Vistula River and Bay of Vistula (Zalew Wiślany; Frisches Haff old German name) since May 27th up to June 3th.

Beth is looking fantastic Robert. Your spring weather is obviously now warm enough for the coating stage.
Here in the Hunter Valley, we have had 25 deg for the past 4 days, and no wind, which is just perfect for painting

As epoxy cures it seems to have a mind of its own, and you end up with lumps and bubbles all over the place. It's impossible to get a smooth coat with epoxy, so don't worry, you are not alone.
Never mind though, some more sanding and then some top coats of a solvent based coating will fix all that

These are your friend. Makes sanding bearable, esp with the gel/rubberised grips.

It is really looking like a boat now Robert!
Do a nice job of sanding the decks and hullsides - will help the boat look really nice.
Looks like most of it was the cold weather making work tricky.
BTW, how is Poland going - what is the everyday feeling of normal people after the plane crash? Is there much feeling of crisis, or is it OK. I imagine a lot of shock, but not much of a political crisis because Poland is much more politically resilient now.
Best wishes
MIK

Thank you MIK, but cold is again here (circa 10-12 deg) and I can't to glueing, epoxy coating and laminating...
BTW, there is a 3 part of my article of building period (in Polish of course):

(70 years ago in Katyń - Soviets -NKWD by Stalin's operation order- murdered 20 000 of Polish officers and policemen (prisoners of war) there. By many (over 50!!!) years those facts were secret and politicaly prohibited by USSR and their aliants - UK, USA and France (appointed in Teheran, Yalta etc.). Mostly were kown those tragical facts as a German's crime of war, but it was a lie - it was a Soviet's crime. President of Rep. of Poland and other people in this crashed airplane were to go to honor and celebrate of 70 years...)
At present we needs to normal life (work, entertainment, love etc. etc.), we preparing to election of new president etc. etc. There are no political crisis in Poland - there is more of silent than previously, but World not stopped a breath.

Thanks for that Robert. Most has been reported quite well here including the Katyn information. In one way I think it is a wonderful sign to have a country so stable with such a big crisis. It would have been very different 25 years ago when the political situation was much less stable.
I am always amazed how quickly history and the people of a country can move in a short time of 20 years or so.
