Default Has someone got better eyes than me - Eureka in Flood clip.

One of my customers wrote an email to me saying he had seen a Eureka canoe in the clip on this page. He said just a glimpse near the end of the clip.

I am trying to watch it on my phone on the way to Canberra by bus and can't see it. They may have rotated the clip.

Anyone else able to see it... what time in the clip?

There's a canoe in the background at about 2:30 but i certainly couldn't pick it as a Eureka.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

In one of the dozens of film clips I've seen the last few days, I thought I saw a Eureka canoe in the bottom left corner for a second or two. Never having seen a live one, only photos, I wasn't sure enough to comment, but if others thought it was one, that lowers the odds. Hope it was useful during the worst of the flooding. Peter

I did see what looked like a eureka in footage of the evacuation of (I think) the Rosalie shops on about 11-12 January. It was pretty early in the floods' impact on Brisbane suburbs.
The canoe was in pretty rough nick - no inwhale, most of the inwhale spacers missing, rough glass tape on the chines. Looked like it was either clear finished or epoxy coat only.
I got the impression it was either half-built or damaged.

It was difficult to be sure whether it was a Eureka or not, but I thought the inwhale spacers were a bit of a giveaway; there don't seem to be loads of stitch & tape designs with them.

It looked like two young blokes were using it to help shop owners salvage gear from the rising water.

I have done a basic web search, but haven't been able to find any archived images or footage. It was one one of the commercial channels, and I reckon I saw it in one of the tabloid newspapers, too - probably the Herald Sun.

Nope - was just on "Today, Tonight" (mum watches it - honest!) as one of the background clips to a story about climate change.

    Today Tonight videos on Yahoo!7

click on the story called "experts warn of wild weather"

It is about at 2:42 - more obvious on the big screen

    Very Good!

Now If I could just find a way of extracting about 30 seconds from the report for perpetuity!
