MIK's Talk in Portland, Maine
I'll be posting here an invite with date and time to my shop in Portland, Maine to meet MIK, hear his talk, and discuss rigs and boats. Hopefully those in the vicinity will be able to come. I'll post very soon!
Cheers,
Clint

Clint,
If it's not Oct. 31, count me (and possibly 2 others) in. Are any aquatic activities planned? I could probably bring along my PDR and Nutshell. Not exactly earth shattering I know, but a harbor outing might be fun. Of course the Man himself may not relish our chilly waters after basking in the Florida sun ...
Cheers,
Peter

Maine weather should be a rude awakening after a week down here . . .

A gentle awakening to the colours of Autumn and the sun's gentle rays.
We don't get the colours changing in OZ.
I look around with amazement.

Mik - You're there at the bestest of times. The spectacle of the Fall Colors is dazzling and awe-inspiring... no matter how often one sees it. One of the things I miss about New England.
Cheers,

Waiting to here from MIK on day and time.
Yes bring boats. We'll sneak in a launch and row/sail in the afternoon.
I hope to have a GIS and a MSD Skiff here.

After some food and chat, Michael will talk to us about making our boats better...
At very little cost and only slightly more labour it is possible to improve the performance of our cruising and recreational boats.
·Why is performance important?
·Simple tricks and tips in the areas of rigging, construction, building of sails, spars and centreboards and rudders.
·Most people cannot see the difference when looking at the boat, but anyone sailing it will notice immediately.
Michael gives a this free presentation at Clint Chase BoatbuilderCome Boating afterwards!Directions to Clint Chase’s Boat Shop can be found at Google Maps just insert 25 Deblois Street. We are right off Brighton Ave. Heading West out of town you turn right at the “H” sign for the hospital. If you pass Brighton Medical Center you’ve gone to far. We are tan with Purple trim house with lots of boats in the yard.

Funny.
One of the things I appreciate about Adelaide & southern Aust in general is
autumn colours. As a teenager in Brisbane, I think we had the only deciduous
tree in our street - a Liquid Ambar. And there were a -lot- of trees in our street!!
While the only deciduous trees here are northern hemisphere imports, there
are, compared with Brissie, a lot of them.
And then MIK says "We don't get the colours changing in OZ." ...
Must be quite something!
cheers
AJ

It's true Callsign,
Swine flu is rampant these days.
Cough... Cough...

In Australia ... we got the swine flu from overseas. But we gave it back to the pigs locally.
That is not relevant to anything in particular, it is simply a tale of revenge.
