It's not quite a seapearl is it.

It is a Sea Pearl... "Scout" previously known as "Voyage Through America" in a past life.

Seething black water folds over the gunwale as I cut a white scar across a wave. No stars, no moon in the midnight sky, just clouds, and waves, and wind, lots of wind. North Carolina's Beaufort Inlet, the next stop, lies 30 miles ahead, the beach is 20 miles to my left, and astern through the dashing spray, I see a glowing pair of red "eyes!"
No wonder this boat spoke to you! It's already a veteran of epic prose! If any captain is worthy of this boat's legacy, it's our own Storerboat hero, CallsignTripDuece.

Congrats on the new addition. How long til you start asking how to optimize the foils for better pointing? Remember, you were once a sailor, but now you're a sailing boatbuilder; the Storer12 will be ready for you when the itch to plane* returns.

*see what did there? Planing in both the woodworking AND the performance sailing sense..? Keep up willya!

Your wordsmithing powers are almost too strong for this forum, Dave! My screen is vibrating!
