LOOKING GOOD!! What are the dimensions??

12ft x 4ft.
About 90 square feet of sail.
Looking at the pic with the human figures it is hard to believe that there is this much room in/on a 12ft boat. One of the advantages of going square.
Unless Perttu has done tricks used by some designers and drawn people smaller than scale - at least I can't see any grass skirts!

Just checked - the laying figure is half the length of the boat.
So no cheats!

I think keeping the offset hatch, and front windows would be a nice touch. You could use them as a great trade mark. Big bro of Nano cruiser.

The central hatch is safer.

I agree about safety. I would say it would be more convenient getting in and out of it too.

Wow! I like it!
She looks similar to other "normal" microcruisers like this (owned by my family over20 years ago - INKA designed by Norbert Patalas):
And other, just renewed example of it:

Really nice!!! Great looking. I put in a strong vote for the bow windows too, they are really key.

No cheats with the laying figure, but remember that his head is probably up against the bow chine or very close to it... the mock up overhead doesn't show the bow chine, so it looks like a lot of headroom when he's laying down, but it really space of the upper deck that extends forward over the bottom.
STILL, lots of room for a 12' boat, and it looks really great!
Is this the Poor Man's SCAMP? Or not as versatile? Are the limitations to this boat the same as the Ocean Explorer? Also, is there any ballast?

I was thinking more about seaworthiness than camping aboard-- the SCAMP will take campers in the cockpit with a boom tent, so one could comfortably sleep aboard both. (Comfortable is a relative term...)
