I ended up buying a copy of the plans, got them printed and bound down at Officeworks today. Now to sit down and have a good read...
The only thing i may have trouble with as far as timber goes, in the mast timber. Havent started looking around yet so we will see. Hopefully there are some places around Newcastle.
Great plans and info btw Mik

Howdy ...
They are pretty nice plans.
The building part is entirely by Perttu Korhonen.
We started collaborating with the Ocean Explorer.
But most of the building stuff was by Perttu - who thought of the boat and built it before I knew anything at all.
He is a professional wood engineer and works with Computer Aided Design (CAD) regularly for the design of wooden structures.
The design is fully his, but as he used the rig and foils from the OzRacer (formerly Oz PDRacer) either he had to steal the designs or talk to me.
So being a good chap ... he talked to me and I supplied the information on those parts to his plan package.
I did make some suggestions for simplifying the hull structure, though they were relatively minor though might save a useful amount of labour and some smaller amount of materials.
With the Ooze Gooze it was a little bit more of a collaboration as we had to work out a new bottom rocker after seeing the videos of the standard Oz Goose. It was OK for a dayboat, but needed a lot more rocker to keep the bow and stern more out of the water.
But the structure is about 98% Perttu as are the instructions for building the hull. I again supplied the spar and foil info.
No apologies needed for giving me too much credit!
But I was feeling in a writing mood ... and it is a nice little story.
Best wishes
Michael

Thanks for the pm Perttu!
The boom tent looks great, anything for a bit of shade and weather proofing from rain. We get plenty of both around where I am lol

Great job and perfect timing. I've been trying to get my son motivated to build the OozeGooze for months. And what’s even better he wants to do the 2013 Texas 200. Seeing this post just may be what gets him started.
