Nice colours. Is your mouse aware what to do if he capsizes?
Koala built some models of the OzRacer and used my plans for a model GIS. I have looked at his models a lot to figure out the rigging. It's a very helpful step IMO.
Look forward to pictures of the final build.

Just finished building, too.
Launched today. Not much wind today. Just as well, never sailed a boat before.

Perttu, thanks for the great design. I was hooked after watching your videos of the Ocean Explorer. Then I saw the Ooze Gooze and I knew that was the boat for me. This build took me about eleven weeks to get it out sailing. The cabin area is still a empty shell except for paint. I have a few ideas for interior and need to purchase foam and materials. The plans were absolutely a pleasure to use. Every measure, angle, and detail were clear and spot on. I probably spent too much time playing with the 3-D model, it was a lot of fun!
A few construction facts;
1/4" plywood from local lumber yard, radiata pine, most framing lumber douglas fir, some white pine, glued with titebond 3 secured with stainless screws, epoxy glue used after basic hull finished, applied 4 oz fiberglass cloth with two coats of epoxy and feather fill where needed, double overlap at the edges, kiltz primer and painted with exterior semi-gloss latex
Mast and spars cut from douglas fir glued with epoxy and wood flour, hatch and wood trim from sapele lumber, cabin drop board from 1/4" lexan.
Sails from Polysail kit, all hardware and deck plates from "Duckworks Magazine". Black double braided polyester ropes from "Universal Radio", sold as antenna rope.
I plan on taking out again in the morning, If anyone sees any problems with sail rig or anything else, fire away. I'm just a beginner when it comes to sailing.
Thanks all for the great comments.
Mark

I also really agree that this is the most beautiful OozeGooze so far. You have all the rights to be really proud.

Too bad people have to be members of the forum to view the pictures. Severely limiting, I think. You mind if I grab these and post them over at the woodenboat forum?

Just got back from a sailing adventure this morning. Learned a few lessons, 1. reef early 2. sail with drop board in and hatch closed, 3. Stay out of 25 mph gust if you don't know what your doing. CAPSIZED . Boat went all the way bottom up, but was able to roll back over. That cabin holds a lot of water. I want to try with cabin closed next time see how she behaves. Live and learn, I guess the hard way. Great fun, another page in my our book of adventure. No pics, camera drying out. Fill free to paste photos where ever you like. I tried to "Put the Love" into the boat build which translates to a lot of sanding.....glad it shows.....
Thanks again for the compliments.
