Default Regatta and Weekly sailing for 8ft boats in Sydney - Concord Ryde Sailing Club

I received this from Ross Venner, I will see if I can put his details here. It sounds great. It was a great family spirit club when I visited there once of twice when I sailed or hitched rides on NS14s.

    Mike,
Fed up with losing the graduates of our training courses to other sports, when they find that, as unit dwellers, they can't store a dinghy, Concord Ryde S C on the Parramatta River is to hold an open two day event specifically for 8 footers. (At this time we have a small number of Spencer's Firebugs, raced by adults.)
A boat which can be stored on its transom during the week and car topped to the River at the weekend.
Would any of your PDR people be interested?
    Regards
    Ross Venner
You can find Ross's phone number and email in this list on the sailing club website.

Default Event on 15 March 2014

Any 8 Footer, is most welcome at this event, specifically, in the context of this forum, PDR and Oz racers.

Of course they will need to have insurance. If there is sufficient demand we will see what our club's broker can do. Please PM me so we can establish numbers. There will also be the question of sail numbers or other suitable identification

As an incentive to join the fun, the event will have two divisions, over and under 70 kg. A GoPro camera being awarded to the winner of each division.

As I said above, Mik's 8 footers will be most welcome.

    Ross V
