Howdy Clay,
We are still working out what to do ... however I think it will be in some sort of order of photographic evidence becoming available. Also there may be an addition criterion of it having to hit the water or be 3D like the PDRacers.
My feeling is that it should be when it hits the water, because that means that the boat really truly exists. Or maybe that the hull is complete without paint or fittings ....
I am not sure ... good thing to discuss.
I think certainly that the boats we have photo evidence of them being on the water should be recorded in the right order.

No worries Michael, I can see the point of having evidence that the hull has hit the water or at least is ready to do so. Given my track record any number reserved for me could end up belonging to my estate .
I'm on holidays next week and can check out the PDRs then if that would help.

That would be great ... the earliest OZ was Peter Hyndmans #75. With inverted hulls I look for curved sheerlines.

Archie .... I was just collecting that ... thankyou!!!
Bjarne ... for the guy who kicked off the idea of registering ... you will have to get your bottom wet!!! Unless we decide on another criterion.

You can even buy these from the UK branch. How about that. Can we do a RAID41 teeshirt with the logo on for the Beale Show.

I've started trying to identify the OZ PDRs. It's turning out to be harder than I imagined, partly because the photos aren't always identified with a hull number, but mainly because it's sometimes hard to tell if a boat is true to plan or a variant. A boat may appear to have the OZ sheer and decks but then have different air boxes or centre board. I guess the question is: How far does a boat have to vary from the plan befoer it ceases to be an OZ PDR?
Back to work.

I suppose we can have two labels

this sounds excellent.
I have a set of plans for a GIS and it is the only set of plans I own.
I love the idea of having a registered hull number when i (eventually) get my bottom wet.
keep up the good work.
I would love to help, though time is short for me, and I don't know if I have any skills I could offer. I can lift heavy weights but don't think that would help.
