Here are a few photos. I still haven't finished mounting the rear seat. The first one is of the ferule for the carry handle. This was done with a 7/8" wood bit and a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe for the ferule. It worked remarkably well.

The second pic is of my improvisational way of recessing the deck after the outwales were mounted. I wanted the deck to be flush to the outwales without any plywood between. I had some rabbeting bits and slot cutting bits but none were shallow enough to cut just the ply so I clamped an 1/8" strip with enough electrical tape on it so the bit would cut just shy of the outwales leaving a notch for the deck to fit into. The tighter spots were done with a Dremel (Thanks Christophe). This was one of those first-timer, make-more-work-for-yourself moments but it worked out pretty well.

I'll get some pics of her in the water soon. Today is stability/capsize testing to see if I can swim from her and get back in. Hopefully those buoyancy chambers are water tight!
