I used 80grit on the orbital sander. For hand sanding I used 120 only. I found that anything coarser than 120 hand sanded leaves deep scratches. You then end up removing a lot of the epoxy to get the scratches out. Drips and runs can be quickly removed with a sharp scraper before sanding with the 120.

I agree with SimonLew and wouldn't use anything courser than 120 for handsanding.

I went up to 120-180-240 for the varnished areas and 120-180 on the painted ones.

    Best regards,

    Joost

No updates for a while, you must be too busy sailing your new boat.

Default Sorry for the long time

.. but we are very busy. Next month we have to go in our new house. And our business will become greater.

But since some days, I'm back to build the GIS.

    Here are the actual pictures:

    Greetings

It brings back memories that's for sure. I was really excited at this point in the build, and little else mattered or was likely put the brakes on and prevent me from launching asap!

    Well done.
