    Default Odd signs

I really wonder about some of the signs I have
seen lately. Here are some samples.

    THIS DOOR IS ALARMED
    I wonder who startled it?

    CYCLISTS USE LEFT SHOULDER
I wrote under it "AND YOUR RIGHT LEG"

    BABY ON BOARD
I asked the female driver why she did not put
her baby in a proper car seat.

There would be many more I reckon.

when i was at university, only some 40 years ago i saw a chalked sign: "adulterers you will be judged" (and a biblical reference which i don't remember) ... i chalked under that: "we are expecting a perfect score"

On the "Cyclists use left shoulder" I have always thought it was a silly way to ride a bike.

On the back of a garbage truck years ago "Vehicle frequently stops" some one had written, "get a decent mechanic."

    One of my favourites is:

No lines marked, do not overtake unless safe

So can we overtake when it is unsafe when the lines are marked????

The sign outside our local hospital Casualty "Stop Ambulances Only".
    Can other vehicles proceed?

i like the "prepare to stop" road signs .............yep brake pedal where it should be everything looks ready .
and "no line marking overtake only when safe" ...........so that means if there is line marking just go for it safe or not .

Scribbled at base of a public toilet door:

    BEWARE OF LIMBO DANCERS

and at top of same door:

    Beware of Irish Limbo Dancers

A common sign on horse floats has always irritated me -

    "Caution horses"

Does this mean that I have to be extra careful not to run into the back of the thing just because it contains horses? Oh goody, no horses, just a few kids . Lets ram it!

Or does it mean that I should stay away, lest the horses jump out and attack me?

Or is it an exhortation that I should take up speaking to horses that I meet, warning them of the perils of life? Oh, you're a horse, I must caution you against unsafe sex , never go swimming within 30 minutes of eating and always look to the right, left and right again before crossing the street.

followed a van in toowoomba one day and across the back window was " caution vehicle driven by blind man ".

got along side the van further up the road and on the side of the van was " toowoomba blinds, free measure and quote, supply ,fitting and cleaning "

I saw one scratched on the wall of the dressing rooms of the Dunedin Stadium.
"Australia Sux", and someone had dutifully put under it "New Zealand Nil"

Years ago at tafe they finally got around to painting over years of accumulated grafitti in the dunnies...No sooner had the paint dried when someone with a big texta divided the dunny door into columns with headings..."politcal comments"..
    "sexual deviations"..and "sports"..
Next day under each heading was written.."Up the reds..Up the reds..and Up the reds"

what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?
