    Default Small Town

Traveling through New England, a motorist stopped for petrol in a tiny
village. "What's this place called?" he asked the petrol station attendant.

"All depends," the native drawled. "Do you mean by them that has to
live in this dad-blamed, moth-eaten, dust-covered dump, or by them
that's merely enjoying its quaint and picturesque rustic charms for a
    short spell."

I keep hearing from people who have immigrated from the subcontinent or South Africa how great Brisbane is.

Guess it all depends on your frame of reference.

I have heard it said when you move to find a better more tranquil place it does not work because you take the biggest problem with you, your self.

Uncle reckoned when he moved to a beautiful seaside area up the north coast his biggest problem was the wife and kids he took along which ruined it.

You're making me feel old - I've lived in both Tamworth and Nemingah, but that was nearly 50 years ago !
