    Default 30 40 cutting Aluminium

    My little 30 40 cnc is surrounded by aluminium chips.
    Daughter (the one doing Elec eng at uni) gave me a dxf file with instruction for 8 off pse.

    2mm al with 4mm cutter.P_20160705_140446_1_p[1].jpg

    First one looks ok.

    wow, some of those holes look really close to the edge....

    Agreed. I have referred that back to the designer. Not going to cut any more 'till it is clarified.

    Hi,

    Very neat. What software did you use from dxf on?

    I am using a 3020, and just starting to use CamBam.

    I use "Artcam express" for drawing and "Mach3" for cutting.
    Artcam can load dxf files

    No. Just the sides. Some sort of modification of an existing part.
