I have only had a bit of a tinker in it and watched some of the new tutorials. Looks like it will be good. Hoping to spend some more time this weekend and give it a good run.

Hi John,
I upgraded when they sent out the email of the new version. I have been using it since then but only in 2D and can't see many changes yet. I don't like the save GCode bit as they have changed that - perhaps if I read something it might be simple but I'm too slack to chase the answer at the moment.
Is it worth the upgrade - with the type of work I do probably not but it might have some useful 3D stuff that I haven't got into yet. For me $400 is a lot for an upgrade that doesn't do much for the standard 2D user.Cheers,
Rod

I'm using it also, I just love the distort feature in both 3d and 2d work.

Actually I bought V2.5 early last year, so I just scraped in for the free upgrade.
I haven't used the 3D a lot yet, and I'm not sure if I would have upgraded if it wasn't free.
I don't know if this is right, but some of the older features just seem to work better. For example the 'trim overlapping vectors' seems to recognise the overlaps better.
Still trying to find time to play around with the new one and explore the changes more.

Hi All,
I'm new to the cnc side of things and have just finished or should I say in the process of finishing off my 4 axis cnc router.
I have gone straight to Aspire 3 and have started to poke around in both the 2 & 3d stuff. So much to learn, but from what I have seen so far I am very impressed. I think each to their own and it really depends on how far and how seious you wish to get with design and use.
Glad I bought it and cannot wait to realy get into the nuts and bolts of the program
Cheers
Tony.
