    Hello everyone!

Is anyone using BobCAD software to program their cnc router? I am looking for user feedback.

    Thanks

IMHO, For the price you pay for Bobcad/cam software you'd be better off paying for vectric software. The user interface is much easier for a newbie to use and understand, the user suppoirt forums are much more informative and there are a few really handy options/tools in vectric software that will come in handy.

I'm not putting Bobcad/cam down, their software is nice but for your money its well worth the investment in software aimed at our uses (Hobbyist-Semi Pro Market).

    Hi al

Sadly, i paid out a fiar amount of good $$ for Bobcad v.22.

lots of promises - almost non-exiatant help.

Still lot working properly, and won't post a workable g-code.

stick to Vetric - it works every time - and is very reasonable money for what you get.

    Cheers

Have read a lot of problems in the USA cnczone with bobcam and service.
We use EMC2, never had any running problems. Plenty of online helpers out there when you are doing the set up. Plus it is FREE now there is a lot of saving there.

Well I work for BobCAD and know the software well. I do hear of many routers customers having good luck with the cut 2D cut 3D v carve pro etc line of products. For ART based applications these product dominate the market at this time.

Users with more of a mechanical based application find the BobCAD's feature set to have an advantage, if you know how to use the software.

Posting seems to be one the biggest issues that BobCAD users have, and getting the support they need to take advantage of the software.

This is where I come in. Seeing that I have used and supported BobCAD for over 13 years I think I know a little about the system. I would like to extend my help for all that have used BobCAD and ran into trouble.

Please understand this is not trolling action or do I intend to degrade this forum in anyway. I truly want to help BobCAD users and other know what it is BobCAD is best intended for and how to use it properly.

    Please share your thoughts freely.

    Al
