Box making with a CNC
I remember about 12 months ago seeing a link here to a video showing how a box was made on a CNC, simply using 45 degree cutters almost right through the workpiece, and then folding it up into an enclosed box with mitre corners. Can anyone please assist with this link?
regards,

It's done with a 91degree v bit. Amana makes them. Check out toolstoday.com , they have them.

Thanks orbit308. Silly of me, yes it must have been a 90deg cutter.
I was actually after the link to the video showing this cutting and folding processregards,

I found this which is the same process as I expected to find. just a bog standard 90degree vee groove bit which cuts the folds. It can be done with a normal plunge router, but it is a pita.

Thanks for this , Kuffy. the video I was looking for, as shown previously on this Forum, was a spectacular coloured box, possibly made of a sheet veneered both sides

Hi Dengue,
I posted some veneered boxes on here a couple of years ago that were made using what I call the Origami method. Look under some of my projects and you will see the items.
very quick, very accurate and very simple.Just use a good quality 90 degree Vee bit in a router table and some painters tape in the glue up.
PM me if you need further details

Thanks for this info, Ruddy. It led me to your magnificent rosewood keepsake box for your granddaughter, it was a joy to behold.
It then eventually led me to what I was trying to find - you can see it here: The EZ mitre technique - by BritBoxmaker @ LumberJocks.com ~ woodworking communityregards,
