I did.
The material kicked back, the pushstick slipped and my thumb went straight into the blade.
Cur through the top of the finger to the end of the nail, slipped on the bone and cut about 70 mm down the inside of the thumb.
Looks like a tapestry embroidery.
The nerve was cut so the doc didn't need a local, could hardly feel the needle.
Of course the I/V Morphine helped, I was in LALA landEvery day is better than yesterday
Cheers

Oh well. Best laid plans and all that. Accidents happen. Did you have a riving knife in place? Was it the offcut that kicked back?

bad luck on the thumb , hope it gets feeling back soon
i had a quickcut drop saw with a coldcut blade 's quick clamp adjustment fail 1/2 way through a cut , it flipped the 90x90 steel post and caught my left hand index finger tip between the jammed up steel and the fence , smashed the very tip bone into 10 peaces , split it in 5 places , and gushed/pumped blood for 3 hours , 3 years later i still dont have feeling in the tip , now im getting in the habit of pushing light switch switches through the back of the switch because of no feeling in it
i should have packed my shed and put it in storage after i packed the house , still waiting on when and where i move too , another 2 weeks it looks like , and are now suffering major , anti tinkering feelingshow come a 10mm peg dont fit in a 10mm hole

Brass brand manufacture
I just joined and noticed this post. Did you find anybody? I have made heaps of these in brass and ss and anything, no matter how fine it can be done. You could try Brisbane Signs and engraving, which is where i used to work but they will charge like a wounded bull. It is a lost art these days as there are spark eroders which took the jobs away from us. You could try back yarders that have a pantograph but they would have to know how to do stamps and dies or else it would be too much for them. Industrial engravers also if you can find any, it's not too common now and they will charge accordingly. I have not got access to a pantograph or router, which can also make them so it kind of comes down to experience or else no-one will want to take on something that will tie up the router for what could be days of frustration. If using a pantograph you need a good template which can be made on a router so the process can drag out if you don't know what you are doing. If someone had a working pantograph like a deckel or pear in Brisbane with a cutter grinder i could knock one up. You would probably have the most luck trying engravers and finding one that still has a working pantograph. Hope this helps.

Another one
Phew this thread has taken on a life of its own Well wouldnt you just know it I now have a job to do with small hollow forms, too small for the original stamp
So now I'm going to need another branding iron. This one will so small it will only be able to have my initials ie H M with a circle or ellipse around it to make it stand out.
I have attached a file of what I have in mindInspiration exists, but it has to find you working. — Pablo Picasso
