Buying bits for CNC
I'm wondering where people buy their CNC bits in Australia. Buying online is preferred. Sorry if ths has been asked before - couldn't find anything on the forum.
Thanks
Graeme

If you don't mind buying from overseas ctctools has a good range, although delivery can take some time.

There is also this fella down the road from me who I've bought aluminium endmills from.

You could also check out Carbi-Tool, they're a local manufacturer.
The other question for this thread is 'Which bits for what type of work?" The number of types/flutes/shapes is mindbogglingly complex, at least to me.Geoff

Thanks for the links, chaps. That's just what I needed.
I'm with you, SnowySkiesAU. I find the range of bits somewhat daunting.

Specialty bits however are sourced from O/S from the likes of Amanatool (toolstoday.com) and whiteside.

Thanks, Twisted. That's the impressions that I'm getting - speciality bits from overseas and a reasonable range of standard bits in Australia.

Terrific quality USA Onsrud cutters from the Aussie dealers Flecknoe Pty Ltd in W.A.
Spares for when they break, on Fleabay ex China, HK or USA, or sometimes a mob in Sydney.
I did get a great batch via Evilbay ex Canada a few years ago that were all double-ended, which was good.
Can't remember the supplier or brand though.
Onsrud are tremendous though.
Beckworth in USA is also very good.
