Thread: china spindles - unsure who to buy from

Luck of the draw I'm afraid. I have got around eight spindle/vfd combinations mainly from Lovehappy and Rumie. Both disappeared for a while and now have very limited listings for spindles. I suspect they got too much competition. Eworld was my last supplier.

I have had only one fail bearings but it got a good serviceable life before that and the VFD is still going on the replacement. Cost of a new spindle was cheaper than sourcing AC bearings local. Don't count on warranty as shipping costs may make this void anyway.

Best protection is paying through Paypal. I consider that I have got a good deal on all the spindles I have purchased.

Thanks Rodm. You're pretty much THE guy here for CNC with the number of machines you've built, so I appreciate your advice greatly.

My goal is to get something that can cut a few pieces of furniture for me so that I can get the $ to upgrade to a more industrial unit from a local supplier.

So, if I can get about 40-80hrs out of it then it will have paid for itself.

Got our 2.2kw water cooled from linearmotion. Used it on wood, aluminum, brass.
It would have couple of hundred hours on it. Have a thread showing what inside one if your interested

No barrow to push, but I have bought three Chinese spindles - two from "LoveHappy"and when one ran a bearing only a relatively short while after buying it, they replaced the thing complete, and even paid for the postage.
In my book, this is a pretty good service.

The two spindles I now run - both 1.5kw air-cooled - are from this supplier, and both have done a LOT of machining - mainly in aluminium and brass - so the laods have been consistent and somewhat demanding.
