I have confirmed it is 220v. If you take your glasses off you can see a little 220v sticker on the back of the control box.

The water in inlet is on the left of the spindle and the out on the right.

I will post the final ports and pins settings when I have finished it.

It is up and running. The TB6560 board is fine so far.

Remember this is for the one I got off ebay. There seem to many variations between different 6040s.

Here's the final ports and pins I came up with. I checked with another 6040 owner and his setup was very similar. I am not running the spindle through the software but manually. I am not running the 4th A-Axis yet. At least until I know the setup better.

Your should be able to rename the your-mill file to match the name of your mill and paste it into the mach3 folder. This should be a starting point of the setings.

Well done- and good luck with it!
Where are you? (We're north of Oakey), but have a different machine.
I'd often wondered about the 6040s...

I forgot to add some info about the pump. It has an american style 2 pin plug. It has 250 volts written on the plug. I never know which way these plugs go up, so I kept the 250 volt writing on the plug the right side up. The pins are the same size. I did have an american plug adapter. I held my breath, plugged it in with an earth leakage on the lead, and it worked.

These mach3 settings above are not the final settings it seems - I will keep you posted.

It doesn't matter which way up the plug goes. It is A/C. This means that the current flows one way for 1/50th of a second then reverses its direction and goes the other way for the next 1/50th of a second. This is known as a 240v A/C 50Hz supply.

Thank you. I learnt something. I did find an Australian ac adapter for the pump in the box afterwards.

Be careful with this as the active is sometimes only switched and wiring it the wrong way results in the neutral being switched which means the machine will be live inside even when the switch is off

It is going strong. It makes a bit of a noise from time to time but nothing to worry about. Here it is cutting a foil for a boat rudder.

Just wondering what software you use for designing the foils?

A friend did it for me on solidworks. I used cut3d to create the toolpaths.
