Default Work for cnc router operator/programmer?

This is my first post on this forum so i am not too sure if this is kosher or not. I am trying to get back to work after taking a year off to fix a dodgy neck and the work situation is looking grim. Most of my experience has been running routers for sign shops so my timber knowledge is limited to doing sleeper signs or mdf bulkhead signs etc and i may not be all that usefull to you guys, but you never know? I have been running routers since they first showed up in the early 90's, at least in sign shops, and before that i used computerised engraving machines and manual pantographs doing dies and stamps and brass plaques etc with making and sharpening cutters all in a days work. My programming skills are based on sign software, Casmate and Signlab/Profilelab and is probably different to what is common in wood work but they can be similar in a lot of ways so it would be a short learning curve. I used Autocad many years ago and have forgotten most of it and i used enroute for a while but i am a little rusty with it. The neck is still a little iffy at times so i can't do much heavy lifting but thats what fork lifts are for and it's getting better everyday. Not too keen on shopfitter work so i will not waste anybodies time there. I live on the north side of brisbane and anything south of say Sumner/Capalaba would drive me nuts in the traffic. Sorry if this is not the thing to do here but i have to try.
    Cheers.

    Default Still looking!

I am still looking in case anyone was wondering. Most signshops are not hiring and the ones that do want me for height work on tresiles and planks which would be iffy at the moment. Would consider other trades that want a router guy who can do other stuff as well. I have another thread in the employment section that says the basics.
