    Default cnczone.com problem?

Looks like someone forgot to renew their domain name!
I get a page telling me that the domain is for sale. I wonder how much? (edit: I checked, $69.95)

I just opened the site, without any problems.

I've cleared out all browser cookies and even tried it from a different machine but all I get is a goDaddy holding page saying that the domain is for sale.
A whois on the domain name shows a change to it today (2nd Oct) but that the renewal date is 2 years away so a renewal must have been done recently.

$69.95 looks to be godaddys fees.

If they forgot to renew the domain name and someone snatched it up, they'll be paying an arm and a leg to get it back.

BTW I'm getting a godaddy parked page also, possible nameserver change?

    Updated Date: 02-oct-2012
    Creation Date: 23-feb-2003
    Expiration Date: 14-sep-2014

If it expired im sure the creation date would have changed?

Perhaps those that are getting the real cnczone page, are getting it from a cache.
Try clicking on the New Posts tab and see if it refreshes.

I was tempted to buy the domain, not so I could sell it at a profit, but to prevent someone else getting it and putting the squeeze on the previous owner.
Given the time difference, it's possible that the site admin isn't aware of the expiry.

Creation date in the whois database refers to original registration date. Renewal is (usually) 2 years so 9th September this year was when it was renewed. Update time is when the database was last changed by the domain admin.

EDIT: Looks like it may have been a goDaddy problem (I could beleive that!) as the site is now back up. Pity I can't remember my password... Time for a new one!

I got a message yesterday the Zone had been attacked.
It named 2 domains that were sending out 2 Trojans and ?viruses.
It also said the Zone itself was not involved.
The Zone is up and running now.
Every day is better than yesterday

They also managed to get themselves on a list of hostile sites with Google.
