    Post Converting files

New to this. Would appreciate some help.

I select an image, clean it up, convert it to B&W and remove the background then save as type BMP. I convert the BMP image to type DXF.
My DXF image now is only an outline. (Viewed either in CAD or imported in to VCarve Pro)

I have lost all the detail when converting to DXF, What am I doing wrong?

Images have been reduced to allow upload.

    Thanks

    Norman

I got lost the last time I was trying to do this.

    I jumped onto AirTasker.
Offered $5 Task to just tell me how to do it with my software.

Taskers just replied with the answer.

Later I offered another task to the one with quickest and best answer.
It was quite a bit more complicated and they had it sorted in 20mins using some rediculously expensive graphics software packages.
    $20

Also, the gents at my CNC place were quite happy to convert for me as long as I'm paying them to CNC for me.
I'm sure he would have told me how to do it if i had asked him to save him from having to do it again.
