Default Giving Junkbot a brain of his own.

    Hi all,
Its been about 7 years since I completed the build of Junkbot & 6 years since my last post on this forum until I logged in again last week.
Junkbot has been faithfully hacking away, mostly with the plasma cutting parts for other projects, but after a recent reshuffle in the shed to fit in another lathe my desk is now too far away for the parallel cable so I've spent the last few days stuffing a power supply & G540, relays etc into a PC housing that already contains a computer.
These are pics of the original setup with the workings housed in a gutted PC cabinet. I was always concerned about it being so open to the dust.

This is the new brain, which originally ran Junkbot.
The front was sripped off & the cd drive removed along with the floppy.
With the cover off the power supply just fitted in the base.

I fitted an extra fan to pull heat from the added electronics out.
The G540 was a neat fit into the cd slot with minor mods on the chassis.
There was a gap below that would allow dust & geckos in so this became a panel for plugs for limit switches, torch control, e-stop & other cables.

    All components installed & wired.
I rewired the limit switches using 4 core control cable which meant one less cable & now they're neatly terminated into the new plugs.
