A little bit more info and a context might help.

A flat bed CNC in woodworking is normally a router and is used for cutting, drilling, 3D engraving etc. Bed size ranges from 20x30cm to 3.7m x 2m and larger.

A lathe is used to turn materials to form contoured round items like bowls, rolling pins, round legs etc. These normally have a range of operating speeds or variable speed to provide effective turning for different materials and sizes. A typical home workshop unit might accommodate speeds from 100 to 2000RPM.

There is possibility of adding an extra axis to a CNC router with a bolt on addition, provided that the control system can accomodate the extra channel. This extra axis provides for rotation of smaller non flat, (round, rectangular, square, hexagonal, octagonal etc) components in contact with the cutter operating over the conventional three axis system. This allows formed shapes to be carved or engraved around the perimeter or sides. This type of machine is often seen on ebay, here is an example. The extra axis is operated by a stepper motor so speed is quite slow, around 1-2RPM, and rotational positional accuracy is on par with the flat bed elements of the system.

As mentioned at the start this might be totally irrelevant in the context of the original question, but there wasn't enough detail in the OP, and this represents one possible answer.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Not sure what kind of information you are looking for, but here is a picture and some info on a CNC flat bed lathe:
    http://www.machines4u.com.au/view/ad...-lathe/166061/
and here is a video of one:

As far as I know it is just a lathe controlled by a computer using numeric (codes) control that happens to have a flat bed rather than a slant bed - the more common version (for swarf management).....

Flat bed cnc look like a conventional metal lathe but computer numerical control. Different to a slant bed The bed is towards the back. The turret holds between 8 to 12 tools and is programed to change in the program.

Considering that the OP hasn't been back online here since the exact time he made that post on the 12th, I'd just mark him up as a 'really doesn't know what he's doing' style of clueless spammer and cancel his account.

Oh Master Splinter you really are too kind. I love you too.
I apologize for not seeing your post earlier but something called life happened.
If you had bothered to look up my joining date and my number of posts I really do not think you would have called me a 'really doesn't know what he's doing' style of clueless spammer and cancel his account".
    BTW, SHE not he.

Also, a misspelling (not by me) made it flat bed instead of a flat belt
