yes I've loosened both sides - but really I can't make any difference even with a burly offsider...I need a couple of D9's I think one pulling one pushing...

...an update and resolution...
The gantry screws indicated in the photo were not the ones that facilitate adjustment. Luckily I have an engineering friend who took one look at the instructions and pronounced that it wouldn't work!! we then progressively pulled bit off until his lightbulb lit up and he hit on the right place to maKE adjustments - which are a set of screws on a large stringer UNDER the machine as photographed. I think something got lost in the translation and dare I say it - the Chinese whispers...anyway it's travelling square now!!
