I will try to reset and configure VFD again (third time).
One more thing - the button in mach 3 works oposite way that it should (spindle ON to vfd means off, spindle OFF to VFD means spindle ON. I have changed setting in Ports and pins -> motor outputs -> spindle -> Step Low Active must be activated to work button correctly. Maybe this setting messing up something in voltages too ?
    Hi TadasM

I just had a quick look at the manual for your BOB and see that they have asked you to supply a separate 12v power supply for use with the the spindle control. Can you confirm that you have done this please.

The Mach high/low will not affect the voltage supplied except to turn off and on.

I would also go through the whole of the settings supplied by the BOB manufacturers and confirm that no errors have been made in either wiring up or settings. Also, tug fairly hard on each connection to ensure that the connection is solid.

Today I did reset to factory settings my VFD. Now I can control spindle speed, not only hi rpm, or low rpm
And I settuped it just on my own opinion. The settings I changed is:

    PD001 to '1'
    PD002 to '2'
    PD003 to '400'
    PD004 to '400'
    PD005 to '400'
    PD006 (default value - '2.50')
    PD007 (default value - '0.50')
    PD008 (default value - '220' )
    PD009 to '15'
    PD010 to '8'
    PD011 (default value - '0' )
PD072 to '75' (Adjusted that M3S8000 on VFD display shows 133hz and 8000 rpm.)
    PD073 to '400'
PD143 (default value '04' meaning that my spindle is 4 poles ?)
PD144 to 3000m (maybe that value must be different for 4 poles spindle ?)

And, again strange thing with volts. they are increasing when slowing down spindle:
    S8000 - H116 / 7,6v
    S10000 - H145,5 / 7,6v
    S12000 - H164,4 / 7v
    S14000 - H181,2 / 5,9v
    S16000 - H199,4 / 4,6v
    S18000 - H219,4 / 4,2v
    S20000 - H242,1 / 3,9v
    S22000 - H267,3 / 2,5v
    S24000 - H282,4 / 2,4v

When I tell spindle to S24000 the rpm on VFD display shows about 16000.

p.s. Bob, I have connected 12v to my BreakOutBoard.

So maybe there is a difference between 4 and 2 poles spindle setups ?

My guess is that you have the number of poles set incorrectly

    Hello Hedi

The number of motor poles is set in PD143.
It can be set between 2 and 10 poles.
Check your motor to see how many poles it has and adjust this accordingly.

    Hello Hedi

How many poles does your motor have? Check and let us know.

You can do a search for the model number of your motor and then get the specs from there, or let us know the number of wires coming out of the motor and the model number.

Another good way of finding out is to ask the people from whom you purchased the motors or just look on their web site for the information.

    Hello Hedi

Sorry, but for some reason I have been confused and thinking that the motor is a stepper motor. I know It isn't, .
Please ignore what I said earlier and just ensure that the PDs are set as follows:

Used for PD number Set to number

    Parameter lock PD000 0

    Source of commands PD001 1

Source of operating frequency (Sped control source) PD002 1

    Main frequency PD003 400

    Base frequency PD004 400

    Maximum operating frequency PD005 400

    Intermediate frequency PD006 2.5

    Maximum voltage PD008 220

    Intermediate voltage PD009 15

    Minimum voltage PD010 8

    Frequency lower limit PD011 120

Starting frequency (as per seafurymike PDF) PD027 3

Stopping frequency (as per seafurymike PDF) PD028 3

    Set control voltage to 0 - 5v (see note) PD070 2

Lower analog frequency bias PD072 400

    Rated motor voltage PD141 220

    Rated motor current PD142 7

Number of motor poles PD143 2

    Rated motor revolutions PD144 3000

Although you should probably change the rated motor current (PD142) to 10 amps rather than 7
