Touch Screen
I have been watching U Tube videos of guys using a touch screen with Mach 3.( and eventually Mach 4)
It looks like a cool idea. De-clutters the CNC area and seems to be intuitive.
You can either retrofit a touch screen to a stock monitor or just use a 'real' touch screen monitor.
The retro fit is cheaper, but I wonder how good they are?
Is anyone using a touch screen with Mach 3 and did you retrofit or buy a real one?

I use an actual touch screen on my 3 CNC machines. They work really well. I use the screen for most everything. With windows 7 and up they are mostly plug and play by the USB. On XP you will have to add drivers. On my new CNC that I am now buiding (testing now) I am using Mach 4, Windows 10 professional and ESS smooth stepper. The touch screen is an Asus VT207N 19.5" 1600x900 DVI VGA USB. Amazon and Walmart both have them for around $190. Mach 4 seems smoother and a little faster than Mach3. Motors were a lot easier to tune in Mach4.

We don't appear to be able to purchase touch screen monitors, that size, in Australia, as cheap as that.....
