Ozito Impact Driver
About 12 months ago I decide to insulate and line my shed (9m by 6m) and this entailed lot of screwing of screws into metal studs. Anyway I bought a cheap Ozito 18v impact driver. It cost me $109 from Bunnings and came with 2 1.5 AH batteries which will charge in about 1 hour.
Anyway I used it hard to line the shed and over the last year it has had occasional use. In recent times I have driven several hundred screws with it for a landscaping project.
My judgement:
If you are a tradesman look elsewhere.
If on the other hand you are a weekend fiddler like me, then it is worth a look. It has driven everything I have asked of it including 75mm screws into a post that was as hard as concrete. The batteries will last longer than me. I have no idea how many 35 mm screws it while drive but long before the battery runs out of charge I need a rest. The LI batteries hold a charge really well. It cost me about $100 and if it died today I have got way more than $100 value out of it.My age is still less than my number of posts

It's all economics for a tradie. I asked one building a deck about this and he buys Ozitos one after another, and simply debits them to the job. He commented that sometimes he does not even bother with warranty claims, but said it was irritating to have one break mid-job. The answer? Buy 2 at a time.
Cheers
