    Default 70's recliner chair

Bought this for $10 because I kept sitting in it and finally found a chair that supports me (I'm usually too long in the body) when I recline in it.

Scraped and then sanded with 600 to get to this

    Used Rustins Danish oil

Very light frame , can anyone help me ID the wood?

Cover of the original cushions as we plan to steam the covers but I would like to know what to do to these to make them bug free and smell nice

Never thought I'd end up keeping something so new

Not teak. It would be heavier. Possibly Philippine mahogany.
But then I'm in the USA and don't know your local woods.

After 3 lots of Danish oil I have reinstalled the frame and the cushions wait for cleaned covers.

Finally after soaking the covers (the water was black ) they are returned. It did feel like there was some shrinkage. The darkness at the front is just my shadow
