Coming together nicely. At least you are making more progress than me at the moment. My build has been almost stationery for a couple of weeks due to too many other things getting in the way.

Looks fantastic Peter! I really lilke the touches you have added and the wood grain is spot on. The stacks look great.

This Monster Truck is ready to roll.....
This Peterbilt 1948 Ford Monster Truck is ready to roll with 5-6 coats of clear gloss polyurethane...
Firstly, THANK YOU Trevor for encouraging me to take my time...this one has been a joy to build!!
Secondly, THANK YOU Kryn for the swap deal sir, the wheels look fantastic on this 1948 Ford Monster Truck!!
Thirdly, THANK YOU Bret for his insights into building this project as I've used some of your ideas to build it strong and hopefully little boy proof!!
Also a THANK YOU goes out to James [aka TassieTimbers] for the Blackheart Sassafras and Dave TTC who delivered it for me, plus Brett for the Zebra offcuts & Pete for whatever timber offcut the front bullbar is.
There are lots of little extra personal touches on this truck, apart from the extra special mix of timbers, with a good number of parts made & remade. The things I've learnt from some of the longer term forum members along with my own experimentation have given me the where-with-all to have a go and be a little more dearing, though IMHO I've still a lot to learn and long road ahead....
I'm hoping to bring it along to Fletty's Sharpening GTG this weekend for "show & tell"....
What is to be the next project/build is anyone's guess...Cheers Peter

Nice to see my work going on such a well built unit .
I made another set for someone's JD tractor, then had to make a cab for him, then he wanted a front end loader for it, which I did, complete with rams, he then went and painted them !!!!!!!!!!To grow old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

Sorry to go OT but I mentioned them earlier. So I thought I'd show pics of BEFORE they were vandalised.

Sorry Peter, they are the only photo's I have. He made the tractor itself, but I did the bucket, loader, wheels and steering wheel, unfortunately I don't have any of the cab, and it's now in the Copper Triangle somewhere. (Kadina, Moonta, Wallaroo)
