Default Looking for australian alternatives to theses timbers

Hi all, looking at making some wooden train tracks and other similar toys the recommended woods seem to be white birch, maple, or European beech, does any one know of good Australian alternatives (Tasmanian even better)

(edited title as there had been quite a few views but no response. Wasn't sure if people were looking to find alternatives so made it clearer that I am seeking assistance)
