Hi Alexkara, thank you for that tip also. However, I have had a few goes at trying to get a handle on SketchUp and I cannot seem to master the concentration required to get a result worth anything. Most of my trouble is my lack of patience. But, with your prompting, I will put some of my holiday leisure time into a better effort of understanding the 'ins and outs' of SketchUp. Might work this time.

Thumbs up Give axle room to move

I like to use axles that go all the way though.
Re drill the holes though the base a little big if there's a tire touching problem, this way it can self adjust to it's hearts content.

Fred, There are many great video tutorials on the WEB (no need to any of that accursed reading). You don't need to become a master to do basic models. I always tell people that many of the designs destined for woodworking only need the basic principles of SketchUp. If you do decide to bite the bullet and give it a fair shaking, feel free to send me an email if you need any help or tips. I'm more than happy to try to explain via email or if need be set up a TeamViewer session to share PC screen displays for better explanations.

    Cheers Alex.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you very much for that offer. Every now and again I would like to be able to do a sketch of one of the models. Would be very handy, also, to keep in the library, instead of photos and written measurements. Will see how I go and possibly call on your expertise.

    Cheers, Fred
