Lightbulb Probably a little late But!!!

"then it took a bit to work out wheel hole spacing along with the cut away for the rear wheels and then spacers for the front wheels;"
I know this is to late but might help others, for me I like to build the wheels near the start of the build cause they sometimes don't come out the size I had planned in the beginning.
For me it's just easier to make a fender fit a wheel than the other way, unless it's the hummer!!! lol
    Just my poor $.02
And as I always like to say there's a hundred ways to do anything.

This is the good bit where all the parts start to get glued on to the chassis. When I first saw the last pictures i thought the chassis looked a bit too long then realised that you had only stuck the engine block on and ther was a cab and other bits before the mixer assembly. The heat must be getting to me

    Hi Peter,
There's no control panel as such on a hydraulic agi driven by the truck engine. At the rear you would have a hand held controller on a long coiled cable, and the same controls inside the cab. Earlier models with separate "donkey" motor driving the agi would have a control panel of on/off switch, start, choke and two or three gauges on the right hand side just back from the drivers door. In the case of an automatic gearbox there'd be a lever on either end of the agi frame which controls forward/reverse and rev's, while manual box would have three levers either end.
Depending on how much detail you want you also have at the back a water hose with a gun on the end and an access ladder at the rear right hand side. The gun hangs on a hook up fairly high with the hose looping down from its connection about halfway up.
Something to consider, perhaps, is to move your air horns to the right and put an orange rotating beacon in the centre of the roof?
I liked Chambezios photos of the big agi's, I would have liked to invest in one of those or the semi trailer jobs they had in Adelaide but concrete pumps were not very common where and when I was working. Six wheelers are the best to access a building site when the pump is blokes with barrows.
I don't know what those big mixers would carry but I doubt 12m3 you're probably nearer the mark with 7m3 bearing in mind that conc' weighs close to 2t/m3.
I used to carry 5.4m3 in my 6 wheeler but was probably only legal for 4.8 - 5 m3, though if working away from public roads I'd carry up to 6m3.
That's enough from me no wonder I'm boringgeoff.
    Cheers.

YES thank you Bruce, I've been caught out indeed!!
The front mudguards were rubbing on the front wheels in the cornets so I've had to do some cosmetic surgery adjusting them...Cheers, Peter

Slow progress but starting to look like a Concrete Truck...

Everything is measure 3-4 times before cutting then adjust for fitment..

    Cool

    Really coming along nicely.
I was just thinking and it hurt but be sure to tell them drivers to be sure and wash out all that concrete they're hauling or trouble will be waiting.

We could always send a request to the Mythbusters to help clean out the old solid concrete in the agitator!!!!
