Hi Fellow Woodies,
Below is a pic of the items I'm making at Cooroy Camphor Laurel. Yes, they are not toys, but there is no harm in expanding our repertoire.
These are the proto types of some of the popular kitchen utensils I'll make for the group to sell at markets and other events.
This set below will go to my son who is the Head Chef at Barassis Restaurant | Cazalys.
20160911_123519.jpg All made from Camphor Laurel and finished with vegetable oil.
Next week I'll make spoons, cutting boards and more large spatulas ( Pizza spatula ) to add to his collection before I send them up to him.
Regards

I'm sure he would if there was a 5 nights free stay in a B and B involved.

The Cooroy Camphor Laurel Woodworkers. Queensland.
Hi all, A busy day today. Started at 7.30 am making long handle spatulas for chefs. By 9.30 I was at the Nambour hospital welcoming into the world my new grandson. Mother and baby doing fine. A new generation to make toys for. The attached file is the new brochure I made for the Cooroy Camphor Laurel woodworkers Group. It is hoped after distribution to tourist information centers, cafes, libraries and the like it will increase our visitors to our little gallery of woodwork. Next Tuesday a group of club members have been invited to the Buderim Men's Shed. It has over 300 members and need a new shed to house all the members and activities. They only need to raise $1,000,000 to build a new shed. Our task is to give them suggestions on how to raise money from woodwork and maybe teach a few members a few skills.CLG 3 fold Brochure.pdf Below are a few pics of activities from the Camphor Laurel Woodworkers Club 20151024_084346.jpg20151123_122147.jpg 20160817_142304.jpg20141004_085350.jpg20141004_104946.jpg 20160623_105955.jpg20150324_104604.jpg20160623_105955.jpg20150115_133343.jpg 20160527_121436.jpg20140922_104051.jpg20151205_154112.jpg 20160201_102446.jpg20160725_101732.jpg20160907_102335.jpg 20160907_114542 (1).jpg20160907_114614.jpg20160907_114555 (1).jpg 20140922_103737.jpg

They look like a pretty well organised, industrious group. Is that their shed in the middle of all those photos?

My new brochure for the Cooroy Camphor Laurel Volunteer Woodworkers.
This is the new brochure I created for the Cooroy Camphor Laurel Group.
It will be distributed around town to cafes and the like and also to tourist information centers, city council offices and local libraries etc.

I should get paid for this. But it's all for a good cause.
So I'll forgo the profitable pay and stay in perpetual penury and just accept the applause and platitudes.
Kindest regards

20160921_215205.jpg 20160921_215233.jpg A chuzzle or chair puzzle. A very old pattern. I still need to finish this one .
A bit more sanding. Too many fiddly bits
20160921_215240.jpg 20160921_215324.jpg 20160921_215346.jpg
20160921_215411.jpg 20160921_215427.jpg I was making these 26 years ago. People are still fascinated by them today.

New toys I made this week
Hi,
Back under the house in my man cave / woodwork shop making a couple of orders for customers.
Firstly a new fairy house and then a plane design submitted by a customer.

Plane request.jpg I'm not happy with the design but it's what the customer wants. I think I will make a few modifications to it before sending it off. Resize the prop and change the wing design.
