    Default CRANE PLANS

I received a PM from a bloke in Holland asking for plans for a toy Mobile Crane that had featured in Australian Woodworker Mag Nov/Dec 1987. He combed the web and found me asking for a very early copy of AWW to complete my collection. Sure enough, within 10 minutes I located the issue. I was blown away at the technology involved in a simple request.
Previous to the above I have been able to help out a bloke in South Africa, England and a couple here with information of an ELU TGS172 flip over saw that were made over 30 years ago.
The web has really shrunk the world and brought people scattered around the world to my notice for some assistance. I feel quite humbled by the experience
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

Well done Rod....I have that set of plans on a "pdf file" along with a few other crane plans....I have a little additional info on the crane plan too, if you'd like that too for your new friend in Holland..
The bloke who did the design used to frequent this forum but I haven't seen Roger for some time; he lives in Sth Aust on the western side of Spencers Gulf.... Cheers, crowie

I am the bloke from Holland.
Chambezio, thanks for your help. It is amazing to see how technology can bring people together. Most things you need to know are literally a few clicks away. The Dutch saying "no need to invent the wheel again" gets a whole new dimenson. Everything you want to do or want to know has been done before by somebody. It is thanks to the kindness of people like chambezio who make the internet a place for collecting and sharing knowledge across the globe.
Crowie, please send me the info you have. I aspecially am interested in the sliding in and out of the boom. By studying the photos of the crane I think I know how it works, but I want to know for sure.

Bob your words are very kind, but its not just me the spirit on this Forum is one that helps anyone with anything. No matter what the subject may be there will be someone who will help you with "no strings attached". I was happy to go through my collection of magazines to find the article you wanted. I think Crowie will send you his information on the subject today as well. Make sure you put up a photo of the finished crane.
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

This is all very interesting and there is a wealth of knowledge out there. It doesn't seem to matter what you type in as a search, there always seems to be some article on it. As they say, Google is your friend.
Is there a chance of a picture of this crane that's being referred to?

Hi, I'm in reasonably regular contact with Roger, he now lives in Yorketown pretty well near where he started from. I went to school with him and consequently, I do a lot of work for Roger and might be able to get a set of plans from him, if required.

The plans are now on their way "swapped for some wheels".
