Dolls cradle
I was invited to two year old's birthday so after asking SWBO for ideas (I have done enough dolls houses lately) it was down to the shed to design a dolls cradle. I had a rough idea of the style but mocked it up with little scraps to get the basic dimensions. The rocker section was the hardest so after cutting all the pieces and dry assembling I cut two pieces of pine, clamped them on and then started with a a large radius rocker section and progressively modified until I got the rocking action that I was after.
I still haven't adjusted all the M & Ts but I will get that in the morning. Hopefully glue up tomorrow and get a first coat of BLO, poly and turps on it.

Very nicely made and will never fall apart with all those M & T joints.
What are you using for your finish?Dallas

Thanks guys.
Dallas - I'm using 45% poly, 45% turps, 10% BLO. Wipe on very thin, leave 5 minutes then wipe off. Light sand with 800 grit wet and dry between coats. The finish builds very slowly but after 5 or 6 coats has a sort of a rubbed/oiled look. I was using thirds of the above but the oil was staying tacky for too long so dropped the proportion of BLO.
