    Default I Finished!

I finished up my Speedster build today. This plan came from the Wood Magazine site. I add a lot to it and modified a lot from the plans. It was a fun build, but took me way too long.

That is bada$$. Looks fantastic. All the details you added real bring it into more of a scale model look versus a toy. Good use of woods too. They make it look as though it has a paint job. Did Goofy help you with this or he just posing for the camera?

    Awesome job, beautifully made.

Any more info on timbers used, finish etc....

More W.I.P pics would be fantastic too.

    Brilliant work.

Thank you for the nice comments. Photography is awesome, people can't see all the mistakes!

Steven, I did a progress thread on this forum, I started it before I found this forum. I learned a lot that helped me when I came.

    Thanks Paul for the link.

Posting the finished pics on here was great but actually reading your WIP and seeing the amount of effort you went to in achieving the finished product is truly a credit to you. Very much worth the read.

Amazing detail and improvisation over the plans to get an end result that was satisfactory to you. Well deserved of the praise you have recieved.

    Well done mate.

    Steven.

    Default Simply superb Paul!!

Simply superb Paul, but that really does say enough on such a beautiful toy/model...
    Timber selection and mix, all the extra detail, the fitment and finish are all FIRST CLASS;
thank you for becoming a member here and sharing your skills and craftsmanship....
Also thank you for the links to the additional photos and the "WIP" on the "family woodworking forum"...
[any chance of you adding the WIP photos to your photobucket album, big ask, please]
I'll certainly look forward to your next build and hopefully here on this forum, please!!
Keep them coming Paul, cheers crowie...

PS - I'm very pleased you managed to share the camera with your wife and the photos of the grandchildren....
Yes they are a little more important than the woodwork, BUT the WIP photos of the speedster as excellent......
Please tell your wife that we "downunder" have appreciated them heaps!!!!
