Sorry your under the weather!!!
Been in a world a hurt myself and that's why no new models from this neck of the woods.
I sit there and my mind thinks up great things to play with in the shop then I stand up and the body says lets hold up on that for now, sad but true.
Better days are ahead, just got to save up for them now. LOL

Thanks guys - really appreciate your kind words and thoughts.
Suppose we are all getting older
htl - hope you are better soon and back onto your locos (or other transport medium)
Not allowed to bowl for at least a week - Chairman of Selectors so I can critique from the sidelines
Will continue on my locomotive work , but in reduced capacity.
Thanks Again
Regards

Get well soon and then you can get back on track.
I have seen a young doctor this week. They have also got back problems, struggling to get out of bed, so it happens to the best.

Hi All,
I have made my base using 40 X 19 pine for the sides and 6mm MDF for the base.
I routed a 6mm groove 10mm up from the base to insert my 6mm base into the sides and ends. I did 45 degree mitre joins ans secured them with glue and 40mm nails. The base is also glued into the routed groove.
I also re-inforced the base at the centre with a 10mm thick pine underneath.
I gave the base 3 coats of mission brown.
I glued the sleepers in position with PVA glue and allowed to set overnight. I then screwed through the base into each sleeper (2 screws each) so the sleeper won't move.
I am using "bonsai stones" from Bunnings as my ballast. Needed 3 bags to cover my length of track.
Then used 30% PVA glue 70% water mixture in a spray bottle to cover all my stones. Need to saturate. Will leave overnight to dry (may need longer) Then another coat. In all it will need 3 to 4 coats of the adhesive spray to secure all the ballast.
If anyone else does this - make sure you wipe off any overspray with a wet rag otherwise it will stain any painted timber.
Regards
Keith
