Lightbulb moment (for me) - axle peg holes
I use hole-saws to cut my wheels, more particularly Sutton's hole-saws. Axle pegs come in 3 diameters - 7/32(6mm), 5/16(8mm) and 11/32(9mm) approx. The Sutton hole-saw arbour provides for a 1/4 inch pilot drill bit only.
Problem: How to drill an axle peg hole greater than 1/4 inch at the same time as drilling / cutting out the wheel?
Answer: Use a different size drill bit in the hole-saw arbour! BUT there are not any reduced shank (1/4 inch) drill bits readily available.
Lightbulb: Use Impact Driver bits which have a 1/4 inch hex end.
I drilled out the arbour's pilot drill hole to 7mm and now any size Impact Driver bit will snug-fit into the arbour. Axle peg hole of my desired choice/size drilled square and centre of the wheel everytime, guaranteed.
