Hi All
Does anybody know where to purchase pieces of magnetic whiteboard?
I have been commissioned to make an easel with one side being just that. I have looked at office works and they are framed and exxy.Lindz
It's only a foot long, but I don't use it as a rule

I might be wrong. But, My magnetic whiteboards are painted steel sheet. The things you stick to it are the magnetic part.Fridge magnets etc.Go to a sheetmetal fabricator.Or ask a plumber where he gets his sheetmetal work made and tell them what you want. Then spray with whiteboard paint.

Sorry for the late reply - I haven't had a chance to look at this part of the forum yet.
Most steel merchants sell colorbond sheet - from memory, the off-white equivalent colour is "surfmist". I've used this for similar applications, and yes, the parts stuck to it are magnetic. Some merchants can also cut it to the exact size (for a fee).
Just watch out what type of chemicals you use for cleaning whiteboard marker off it - if memory serves, white spirit is the way to go (but try on an out-of-the-way bit first!).

Just some food for thought...
maybe not appropriate for a commission but plenty of whitegoods get chucked and we all know fridge doors are white and shiny and take magnets.(dryers, washing machines)____________________________
