Do you realise that you will also need to put windows in the crane cab as well.

Crowie you know it takes a real friend to point out when you've made such a blunder.
But I'm sure with time both Handy and I will be able to recover!

I'm really enjoying this build the crane is (to use my 70's terminology) Totally Way!
    Cheers Mate.

Trevor, Are you sure you're not a "child of the 1960's" with first hand experience of little blue men???
    Sorry couldn't resist. cheers crowie....

PS - Thank you for the build encouragement.....
Makes all the difference when people talk, chat and comment about a project with a good smattering of laughter too..

I hadn't even realized I'd done it BUT now I'm in a whole heap of trouble with Handy and he too has threatened to go to the "Smirf Union".
Now I'm on notice...Thank you Trevor and Ray for all this grief from someone I thought was a good little mate.
    Cheers crowie...
Seems everyone is cutting numbers at the moment. Ford, Holden, Toyota, and now Crowie
Incredible how one little blue guy can attract so mush interest, but it's always good to have some fun.

I just went back on your posts and looked at the picture and see there is a hole drilled in the crane cab that will teach me to look at the post more closely.

You are right about the banter it is what makes the toy section such a great place.

Now I'm really in trouble, thank you Bret....
The authorities will be on to me too quick for having a little blue man from Texas working here on the Blue Mountains in Australia ....

He doesn't have a visa, a work permit or even a valid passport and I've had him here, working his tail off helping me make toys....

If I don't hurry up and finish this project both of us could be up the creek without a paddle.....

QUICK, HAS SOME GOT SOME ADVICE FOR ME, how do I hide a little blue man when he's into everything..... ....

Default Talking about having fun, well today...

Talking about having fun, well today has been difficult but shed time is always enjoyable even with lots of breaks...

Ive taken up the suggestion of a few of you to do a windscreen surrounds to highlight the area...

If it wasn't a big enough challenge cutting the 1.5mm thick timber, I had to do it twice as the first lot was way too wide...

And yes gents, it doesn't look too bad, thank you...

The next lot of today's tasks were to finish making the mast base parts and do a mockup installation...
I did change the dowel to 5/16" to allow for little boys and then had to modify the rest of the parts...

We are progressing and handy is quite pleased with my efforts today.
    Cheers, crowie
