Dalboy the main reason I built this was to try a difrent way of building the tracks.
I've built toys and Joys excavator and the smaller bull Dozer and have been wanting to try a different way of doing the track, which turned out all right but I really like the T&J linkage as I can build a jig and cut out the linkages and if I remember right went a little faster.
I could add the tread to the top of the T&J linkage and get the same look which is really nice.
It's just one of those "there's a hundred way to do it just depends on you tools and experience."

Is anyone else having trouble down loading pictures?
It seems to not be working then I hit post and there the pictures are but all mixed up??

Now that the pictures are on here I can hit edit and add a comment to the post, very strange.

Doing the hydraulics can be interesting and I just happened to see a tip about boring long holes on the net and found out it works great and is quite fast with the right tools.
The outer housing is 1/2” and I drilled a 5/16 hole If I remember right, 3 3/4” deep.
My brad bit wouldn’t quite go the whole way but once you’re 3” or more just drill the rest by hand and it’s done.

Looks great Bruce, but were are the photos of the operators cushioned seat?

Also for us who don't have a lathe, a mate Tony found a video

    Thumbs up Seat pictures

Here's where I got the idea that I used for the lathe.

    And extra seat pictures.
Kinda reminds me of Captain Kirk's chair.
